Our Program
F.A.V.A.R provides the following services to those previously incarcerated upon release from prison and those coming from a state of homelessness. All services are provided by trained volunteers in the community. The program is six - twenty-four months. Any assistance we can possibly, and legally, render will be at your disposal. This includes spiritual mentorship, education and more. The first week on the outside, you receive a detailed orientation to help you in the program and society. After the first week you are expected to begin job searches to gain employment. F.A.VA.R has resources to help you in the employment area. We will also ensure you have access to viable transportation. Your Case Manager and Spiritual Mentor will help as your needs require. Once your foundation is set, i.e. home and work, the program remains part of your life. We help you establish a bank account, provide education and advice as the need arises. By the end of your participation, you have a stable work history, money in the bank and knowledge to work. This program prepares our client to become independent and stable, while being able to sustain themselves.
Vision The ultimate vision of F.A.V.A.R. is to rebuild and restore lives by way of knowledge, substance abuse treatment and job development.
Our vision is to generate housing facilities that will be used to house male, and others to house females during their re-entry into society. During their stay they will be afforded the opportunity to become computer literate, while focusing on their education, careers, job development and improving their life skills. This will lead them to become productive and constructive tax-paying citizens again.
In addition opportunities will be provided for their continued education and assistance restoring lost, torn and/or destroyed relationships. We will provide job training, job readiness and job referrals.
Mission Statement F.A.V.A.R. aids in restoring the lives of homeless and previously incarcerated men, women and children by empowering, equipping and releasing them back into society.
Also providing housing, education, job referrals, spiritual mentorship and life skills to those of a way-ward lifestyle and labeled as a repeat-offender / homelessness is another part of our mission.
We will only be as strong as our support mechanism allows us to be...
Prayer We seek the sincere prayers of all that know how to pray. This is our most powerful tool, because this ministry believes that: "PRAYER DOES CHANGE THINGS"
Volunteer We are seeking sincere volunteers to support this ministry, in the area of mentoring, counseling, teaching and by helping those that have given up to realize there is still "HOPE".
